Talk on Halifax's Irish Catholic Community

Our Faculty Author Series continues next week.   History Professor Dr. Michael Larsen will be here to talk about the research which went into the new publication, Irish Catholic Halifax: from the Napoleonic Wars to the Great War . Comprised largely of papers presented as part of a special “IRISH DAY” celebration of a Canadian Catholic Historical Association conference held in Halifax in 2014, it should prove to be a fascinating look at this chapter in our city’s cultural and religious history. The event will take place Wednesday, October 19 at 1 o’clock, in Room LI135 on the Library’s 1st floor. Members of the university and the public are all welcome to attend.
