Talk by Chemistry Professor John Young


It’s time to inject some science into our Faculty Author Series.
Dr. John Young will be here this week to discuss his latest research.  
The presentation is entitled, A Thermal Stratification Trilogy: The Strange Properties of Water.  And it promises to be of interest to scientists and non-scientists alike.
The talk will be held on Wednesday, November 2 at 1 o’clock in Room LI135 on the Library’s first floor.

Welcome to 2018!

We trust everyone had a happy and restful break. We sure did! Now we're back, refreshed, and ready to dive into 2018. We're hosting the Service Expo January 2nd and 3rd and the Societies and Partners Expo January 9th as part of Winter Welcome 2018. Other events happening on and around campus include a staff/student dodgeball game, an IKEA shopping trip, and movie and trivia night. Check it out here . End of Fall 2017

December is a busy month for the academic community. Whether you were busy writing exams or grading them, we figured you could use our support. We extended our hours; staying open until 1:00 am. We hosted a yoga class and were visited by four adorable therapy dogs. We also created "Write it Forward", a call to action that gave the SMU community the opportunity to write on our front windows. Library staff also donated 49 dozen cookies that were distributed throughout the library as a pick-me-up for our SMUdents. We'd also like to extend a huge thank you to SMU's World University Service of Canada Society (WUSC), the Great Enlightenment Society, and SMUSA for donating their time and some delicious drinks and treats to their peers.
