Talk on Student Use of IT

Like their counterparts elsewhere, Saint Mary’s students use information technology a lot.  All day, every day.  For working, communicating, catching up.  It’s what university students do.

But what does that mean? What IT, exactly, are students at this school using?  Phones, tablets, laptops, desktops?  All of the above?  Some at the same time?

To come up with some hard data, a survey was recently conducted on that very subject.  And the results of that survey will be revealed at a talk entitled: Looking into student technology use at Saint Mary’s: results from the Educause survey of undergraduate students and information technology 2012 to 2016

Want to find out more about this increasingly important topic?  Join Perry Sisk, head of ITSS at Saint Mary’s and Peter Webster, our Systems Librarian, this Thursday, February 9 from 10:30-11:30 pm in Room LI135 in the Library.

Everyone is welcome.
