Lots happening this October!

This October we're celebrating Mi'kmaq History Month! We're delighted to host two large display cabinets of local artifacts. Drop in to check out Mi'kmaw-made baskets, crafts, tools, and more. Special thanks to SMU's Indigenous Student Society for making this possible!

We're also celebrating Canadian Library Month! Each October we aim to raise awareness of the valuable role libraries play in Canadian Society. This year's theme is 'A Visit Will Get You Thinking'.

Libraries are the most popular cultural institution in Canada--more than 21 million Canadians have a library card! Libraries offer everyone equal access to resources; enriching the everyday lives of citizens by giving them the opportunity to explore thoughts, ideas, and facts.

Coming up...
