NEW @ PPL: BrowZine, Statista, & more

BrowZine is an app and website that provides quick and user-friendly access to our e-journals (it's like Kindle for your academic interests). You can add your favourite journals to your BrowZine Bookshelf, save important articles, and export citations to your preferred management program. To get started, download the BrowZine app from the App Store, Google Play Store, or the Amazon App Store. When you open the app you will see a list of schools, select Saint Mary's University (Halifax), then sign in with your SMU username and password. Select your preferred subject area(s) and begin browsing. Learn more about BrowZine here

Statista is a user-friendly portal for statistics and industry reports. It includes 600 industries, 18 consumer markets, and 9 digital markets. Users can export data to Excel and graphs to PowerPoint. Infographics are also available for download. Find it on the library webpage under Statistics.

International Bibliography of the Social Science (IBSS) is now available in electronic format. It is cross-disciplinary, covering anthropology, economics, political science, and sociology. It includes 3 million references to journal articles, books, reviews, and chapters dating back to 1951. IBSS incorporates 100 languages and countries. Find it on the library webpage under Databases A-Z.

American Antiquarian Society (AAS) Historical Periodicals provides comprehensive access to periodicals published between 1694 and 1912. It covers advertising, health, women's issues, science, the history of slavery, industry and professions, religious issues, culture and the arts, and more.
